Enjoy where you are now!

What a great five weeks it has been! I have been following the MATS e-course ‘Illustrating Childrens Books’ and it feels sad to have submitted my final assignment for the course last Sunday. I wish it would last for another 5 weeks.

Treat of the week

First of all, may I thank you for your vote on my dream, about which I wrote in December? I received a lot of response and feedback. Wonderful to see how much you sympathize and are willing to contribute ideas.

Books that surround me… A Fairytale

The book ‘Ballad’ (Een sprookje (nl)) by the French artist Blexbolex feels very compact and tactile in your hands. It is not large in terms of dimensions, but it certainly has volume. The paper of the cover is slightly embossed with ribs and is not laminated (fortunately). No layer of plastic between the reader and the paper.

The new spot

Last May I moved into a new studio. I used to work from home, but now I’ve found a perfect spot in a former nursing home in the centre of town. I’ve been cleaning and painting it and moved in my stuff. It’s great working here; I’ve more space and my focus is even better. Isn’t that a good thing ;)?
